ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 25 FL-Precision-Sftwre
ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Precision Software Technologies of
Tampa, Florida today announced the launch of its EZ-Scan.Net online check
capture, data archiving and remote deposit solution at the TAWPI meeting at
the Disney Contemporary Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. Historically, PST
has provided software solutions to large financial service companies, which
use PST's EZ-Scan software to process over $4 billion in transactions every
day.
Now, with the release of its easy-to-use, affordable EZ-Scan.Net product,
PST is making its check image and remote deposit expertise available to the
point-of-sale market, including small businesses, banks, churches, charities,
local government agencies and any business that receives a significant volume
of customer payments by check.
Using EZ-Scan.Net, subscribers can scan checks at the point of sale or
receipt, automatically upload the check data in the form of a Check 21 file to
PST's secure server and then digitally deposit the check to any bank. PST
provides the scanning hardware free of charge -- the client pays only a per
check fee, which depends on the suite of services selected by the client, and
the number of checks scanned each month. "This is an important distinction
from most remote deposit plans, which require users to buy scanning equipment,
pay a monthly fee and technical support charges, in addition to per check
fees," according to Martin Doyle, PST's head of business development. "While
many large banks are offering remote deposit to their customers, those systems
are generally limited to only deposits, and only at one bank by definition.
Our .Net product can be used for deposits in multiple accounts at multiple
banks. Also, the user can custom configure its files on our server to download
seamlessly into their existing accounting package such as QuickBooks,
Peachtree, or Microsoft Money," continued Doyle.
"We also offer a package of optional services such as check verification
and guarantee through our industry partners, that the banks usually don't
provide. Our .Net is an end-to-end solution just like the big banks. However,
ours is geared toward the customer end," said Doyle. "Our multiple account
deposits, 'Pay as You Scan' model and wide selection of services have all
proven very popular with our initial clients," he added.
PST is projecting 10,000 subscribers in its first year for .Net,
processing 90,000,000 checks at an average of $.12 per check, according to PST
President Charlie Parks. "We have been in this business for over 15 years,
providing enterprise and work stations solutions to thousands of customers,"
said Parks. "This move to an online, 'Pay as You Scan' service is very
exciting for us and our clients. Users are excited about the flexibility of
depositing checks into several different banks, not having to buy any
hardware, paying only for the services they use, seamless integration into
their accounting software and the other unique features of our EZ-Scan.Net,"
added Parks.
PST has partnered with leading companies to process .Net check
transactions, provide scanning hardware, and to market the .Net solution to
small businesses, banks and government agencies, among others.
