REDLANDS, CA -- 08/08/08 --
As the leading expert on cyber-crime in the
United States, Parry
Aftab will be sharing her expertise with parents and educators at the We
Believe in Girls! Summit 2008, presented by the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio
Council.
Cyber-bullying is a new type of violence that most parents and educators
were never faced with as youth. As our society becomes more
technologically advanced and youth are "surfing the web" regularly,
cyber-crime is becoming a common problem.
Parry founded and continues to run the world's largest cyber-safety and
help group, now known as WiredSafety.org. After being confronted with
evidence of child sexual exploitation online, she has chosen to devote her
time to issues and technologies impacting children and families online.
She founded and continues to run the world's largest
cyber-safety and help group, known as wiredsafety.org.
We Believe in Girls! Summit 2008 is an informative conference that you
won't want to miss! Along with Parry, speakers and authors Cheryl Charles,
Carol Platt Liebau and Patricia Diaz Dennis will address issues and answer
questions regarding provocative teen behavior, re-connecting children and
nature,
cyber-bullying and additional pressures girls today are faced with.
