FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of
Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Golf Acquisitions, LLC, trademark owners of
PRO GOLF OF AMERICA and ProGolf.com, named Stephen T. Porter Vice Chairman, it
was announced today by James M. Jabara, Chairman and CEO.
Porter, 60, of Tucson, Arizona, will assist Jabara in the development of
US and international interests, and building relationships with manufacturers
and franchisees.
Porter has 33 years and a Life Membership in the Professional Golfers'
Association (PGA) and was a 1976 founder and former CEO of International Golf
Enterprises, a golf franchising system. He was also a founder of Southwest
Golf Corp. in 1979, a golf course management company, and currently has
numerous US and international business interests.
Since 1964, PRO GOLF OF AMERICA has been marketing major brands of quality
golf equipment and apparel in specialty retail stores owned and operated by
franchisees. It is one of the largest "golf only" franchisers in the USA and
overseas.
