Center Renamed Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center of Anchorage ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 6
ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Washington-based senior care provider Prestige Care, Inc. announced today that as of July 1, 2009, it has taken over management and control of the day-to-day operations of the former Mary Conrad Center, now called Prestige Care and Rehabilitation Center of Anchorage.

Prestige, a leader in long-term senior care, is working to transform the care center from previous management to the Prestige way of care and to enhance the quality of senior care available to those in the greater-Anchorage area.

During the transitional period, Prestige will work to improve the center and its services by adhering to Prestige's best practices and operational systems used throughout its network of 46 centers and working with the Alaska long-term care community to ensure the health and safety of its residents.

"We are looking forward to working with the Anchorage community as partners in care," said Prestige's president and chief executive officer, Harold Delamarter. "We're excited to bring our commitment and passion for senior care to the community and provide an environment where every individual receives comprehensive, quality care guided by a compassionate heart."

The new Prestige Center is located at 9100 Centennial Circle and offers a variety of care solutions including 24-hour personal care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, restorative programs and social services. A full-time activities director will also be on-hand to plan and facilitate regularly scheduled activities and special planned events with family members and the community.

"Prestige Care has owned and operated long-term senior living communities since 1985," continued Delamarter. "Our depth of experience and steadfast commitment to the Prestige Care core values - respect, integrity, commitment and trust - has allowed us to continue growing for the past 24 years."

Headquartered in Vancouver, Wash., Prestige operates 46 senior living communities and care centers throughout the Western U.S. The Prestige center in Anchorage marks the company's first center in Alaska.
