PITTSBURGH, July 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Precision Therapeutics today announced
that its President and Chief Executive Officer Sean McDonald received the
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year(R) 2008 Award in the Applied Science
category in the Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia
region. This award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and
leading dynamic growth businesses. McDonald was selected by an independent
panel of judges and the award was presented at an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
of the Year gala event at the Carnegie Music Hall in Pittsburgh on Friday,
June 27, 2008.

Sean joined Precision Therapeutics in 2001 and serves as President and
CEO. Prior to joining Precision, Sean founded Automated Healthcare in 1992,
developing the first robotics-based solution to hospital pharmacy management.
Automated Healthcare was successfully acquired by McKesson Corporation in
1996. In addition to his current award, Sean has been recognized with a 1999
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a 1999 Carnegie Award for
Excellence in Science and Technology, the Smithsonian Institution Award for
heroic achievement in information technology, and the Pittsburgh Life Sciences
Greenhouse 2004 PIONEER award. Sean received a BS in Engineering from the
University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science from the University of Florida.
