ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Sage Software today announced the general availability of its integrated Intergy by Sage practice management system and Intergy EHR by Sage electronic health records system version 4.0. Intergy, being demonstrated this week at the annual HIMSS conference, is already making a positive impact on practices across the nation.
Salem Women's Clinic in Oregon is excited about some of the new administrative features found within the latest Intergy practice management system. "We have two sites," said Erin Mendenhall, Patient Information Systems Specialist. "With the optional Intergy Enterprise Desktop, we can perform administrative activities from one desktop -- billing, payment posting and so much more. And our Bookkeeping Supervisor, Nai Saechao, loves the new Denial Task feature. We have increased our collections because denied claims don't end up in the 'black hole' anymore."
Annette Simmons, IT Manager of Medical Imaging Northwest in Lakewood, Wash., offered high praise for the Electronic Statement Remittance feature. "This one feature alone -- which eliminated the manual posting of payments -- allowed us to reassign one near-FTE to tasks more productive for the practice."
As for the clinical side, physicians are excited about the new Orders Management feature in Intergy EHR. This feature allows providers to roll every aspect of an order -- from test requests to tracking results of those tests to incorporating into the health record and scheduling appropriate follow up into a single, cohesive task.
Brian Korte, MD, of Family Practice Center in Plant City, Fla., is one of the physicians who are enthusiastic about this feature. "The Orders Management feature makes sure that everything that should be followed up on is followed up on. Orders Management has had an effect we didn't predict, too. Our six- physician practice was able to go from needing a three-person team to handle referrals to a single-person for handling referrals."
Intergy EHR by Sage version 4.0 is CCHIT Certified(SM) for ambulatory EHR 2007 criteria.
You can see Intergy in action at HIMSS booth 4001 in Orlando during the week of February 25 through 28. Additionally, Sage Software is participating in the Interoperability Showcase.
