PRA International Early Phase Experts to Participate in the 2009 AAPS Annual Meeting

RALEIGH, N.C., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- PRA International, a leading Clinical Research Organization, will participate in the 2009 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Annual Meeting and Exposition to be held on 9 -12 November at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Berend Oosterhuis, PhD, Scientific Director for Early Development Services in the Netherlands, will present a poster on GMP for Early Exploratory Clinical Studies. During his presentation, he will reflect on the reasons why early clinical studies do not work without flexible, on-site, small-scale, GMP manufacturing. At PRA, Dr. Oosterhuis acts as an internal and external consultant for issues concerning drug development and regulatory affairs. He is a trained pharmacist and has authored or co-authored more than 85 scientific publications in the fields of bioanalysis, pharmacokinetics and clinical pharmacology in peer-reviewed scientific journals. In support of drug registration, he is the author of expert opinions and expert reports.
