RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Power has been restored to nearly all customers of NC Public Power communities. Earlier today, nearly 3,500 customers were without power, although power was quickly restored to most customers. Public power utilities monitored the progress of Tropical Storm Hanna throughout the week and were prepared to quickly respond to any outages. NC Public Power communities work together to restore power as quickly as possible using the Emergency Assistance Program. The Emergency Assistance Program was activated several days ago in anticipation of the storm.
