Fitness Instructors and Enthusiasts Finally Have the Power to Make their Own Seamless Music Mixes DRAPER, Utah, June 24
DRAPER, Utah, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Launching at the IDEA World fitness
conference (Booth #309) week of July 8 in Las Vegas, Power Music(R) will
introduce a revolutionary technology that is sure to change the face of
fitness music forever. Aptly named ClickMix, it is the first online music
mixing service tailored to fitness instructors and workout enthusiasts.
According to Power Music(R) CEO Richard Petty, "In the 20 years since I
started the fitness music industry, nothing has come along this revolutionary
since the start of the industry itself. As the world's number one source of
music for fitness professionals, we are confident that our massive music
library combined with ClickMix's groundbreaking mixing technology will
transform the fitness music industry."
The technology solves a key need of group fitness instructors that lead
classes such as kickboxing, spinning and step aerobics. To lead such classes,
instructors require a 32-count based, continuous music mix to which exercises
are choreographed. The primary format of such music has been pre-mixed
fitness compilations, which leave no room for customization of songs or
tempos, also known as beats-per-minute, or BPM.
The technology behind ClickMix was developed in the United Kingdom and is
patented. Featured as the winner on the hit U.K. TV show, "Dragon's Den",
similar to the U.S. TV hit show "American Inventor", the mixing technology
behind ClickMix was created by Ian Chamings, who states, "Before working with
Power Music we had so many requests for dance versions of chart tracks which
just were not available. With their huge catalogue and new releases, Power
Music provides the energy in the music, and ClickMix keeps it flowing through
the customers' mixes. Now you can choose the tracks, choose the speed and
ClickMix does the rest." Power music holds exclusive rights to provide the
service in The United States and Canada.
ClickMix is the first online technology to provide instructors with the
freedom to customize the song selection, order, and BPM of a mix. The final
product is mixed seamlessly, with no gaps between tracks, and can be
downloaded and burned to a CD within minutes. As a result, instructors now
have the power to make their own mix.
ClickMix is easy to use with how-to videos for those new to downloading
music. With access to thousands of 32-count edited songs from Power Music's
library, patrons will have lots of options in coming up with mixes for their
various classes.
The technology is very user friendly. Customers can add tracks to a
playlist, preview the transition between each of the songs as they are mixed
together, change the order of the songs and change the tempo of the songs,
prior to purchasing the track and mixing the songs together.
Once a user selects their music, and the speeds, the system automatically
does the mixing. A built-in one-click CD burner program, that is specific to
each mix, allows users to burn their mix to a CD with no gaps. Users may also
transfer their custom music to any MP3 player, including the iPod.
ClickMix requires a $50 annual membership, with a 30 day free trial, and
can be downloaded at http://www.clickmix.com. Each track costs $1.99 and may
be used in up to three different mixes before subscribers have to repurchase.
Users are required to have a Windows PC with a broadband connection and
working CD burner in order to user ClickMix.
