AUBURN HILLS, MI -- 11/18/09 --
Plex Systems, Inc., provider of the No. 1
rated ERP software
for manufacturers, today announced results of the efforts of its
inaugural Community Advisory Board (CAB). Marking a full year of working
together, this team of clients developed an effective process to ensure
that members of the Plex Systems' community get maximum ROI from their use
of Plex Online.
Initiated in late 2008, the CAB serves as a liaison between Plex Systems
and the Plex Online user community, enabling users to share insights and
best practices with each other and the company. The CAB regularly meets
both online and in person, and its members are frequently in contact with
each other to exchange ideas. They also presented details of their
accomplishments at PowerPlex 2009, Plex Systems' annual user conference,
held this past May.
Key achievements include:
-- "Brown Bag" Webinars - a free resource to help Plex Online users
"get better faster," where a user or group of users share best
practices around a specific topic.
-- Plex Online Community Forums - suggested several improvements,
including improved search capability and the ability to subscribe
to discussion threads.
-- Knowledge management and sharing - drove development of
wiki-based help system and communications enhancements
-- An article by a CAB member is highlighted in each issue of Plex
Systems' monthly newsletter to customers
"The Plex community is passionate about using Plex Online to its best
advantage -- and sharing with others what this solution could mean to
them," said Rick Bachman, CAB member and Director of Business Process for
Feintool's US Operations. "This innovative group of Plex Online users helps
bring that mission to life. We are proud to champion product enhancements
and are encouraged by the rapid implementation of new features brought to
light by the community. The first year exceeded our expectations and we are
excited about the future."
Current members of the Community Advisory Board include representatives
from Shape Corporation, Ralco Industries, Inc., Tomasco, Inteva Products,
Grand Rapids Spring & Stamping, Batesville Tool and Die, Feintool USA
Corporation and Plex Systems. The group continues to grow and add new
members.
"The passion and power of this community is impressive," said Plex Systems
President and CEO Mark Symonds. "We are excited and grateful for the work
of the Community Advisory Board. Their input is a key factor in the ongoing
success of Plex Systems."
"Plex Systems does not operate in a vacuum," said Simon Jacobson, research
director at AMR Research. "Our findings show that the company is constantly
soliciting customer feedback. They watch for developments and trends and
work to anticipate needs and offer solutions. The Plex Systems CAB is a
tremendously effective tool at harvesting user input to help maintain a
continuous product improvement cycle."
