Today Pigeon Mountain Trading Company celebrates its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
LAFAYETTE, GA, November 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A unique mercantile located in Northwest Georgia, Pigeon Mountain Trading Company brings to this area a complete line of beekeeping supplies that includes packaged bees with queens, bulk corn syrup for feeding, local raw honey, harvesting supplies, woodenware for the hive, and beekeepers clothing. PMTC is committed to customer satisfaction, believing that the long-term relationships they form in the community are defined by the way they treat their customer's everyday.
Pigeon Mountain Trading Company is committed to the survival and growth of the honey bee by preserving the long standing tradition of beekeeping. With this in mind, soon into this journey, they quickly realized that to better benefit their cause and succeed with growth and development, it was imperative that they provide to beekeepers their support and assistance in establishing healthy, sustainable and productive honey bee colonies. To do this, in May of 2009, Pigeon Mountain Trading Company announced its "Professional Apiary Services" and to go a step further, opened the "Honey House" for extracting honey. Beekeepers from this area have found the "free" apiary consulting services an invaluable asset to them; whether consultation occurs by phone, email, in person or onsite.
August 2009, Pigeon Mountain Trading Company launched its beekeeping website listings products, services, and educational materials for beekeepers.
In September 2009, Pigeon Mountain Trading Company participated as a vendor at the Georgia State Beekeepers Convention held in Rock Spring, Georgia where they were very well received by participating beekeepers from the states of Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida, so well received that they were asked to participate in educational meetings with a local youth group association, partner with production of new beekeeping equipment, and become a supplier of a brand new product just released for sale. Its very own in-house beekeeper was awarded the distinguished appointment of President of the Georgia Beekeepers Association while at the convention. This in itself is a huge honor and demonstrates the caliber of commitment, knowledge and experience Pigeon Mountain Trading Company offers.
Pigeon Mountain Trading Company is committed to doing its part in helping save the honey bees. Moving forward, it will begin educating local youth groups, teaching and sharing years of knowledge and experience, and growing the next generation of beekeepers and perhaps even better beekeepers.
