Victory Nickel Inc. (TSX: NI), $0.22, +0.035, 18.92%, is making gains today of over 18% since the open. Victory Nickel is a nickel company with over 900 million pounds of in-situ nickel at its Minago, Mel Lynn Lake and Lac Rocher sulphide nickel deposits. Last months release confirmed the completion of the third-party review of the feasibility study on its 100%-owned Minago project in Manitoba and confirmation that the feasibility study was on track for completion early this month. The components reviewed include geology, geotechnical and infrastructure, processing/metallurgy, mining, electrical and financial analysis.

Avion Gold Corporation (TSXV: AVR), $0.47, +0.002, 4.44%, is a gold company with its primary focus in West Africa. Avion holds 80% of the Tabakoto and Segala gold projects in Mali. Avion confirmed a $20 million bought deal for purchase of 50,000,000 common shares at $0.40. The net proceeds of this deal are to be used for exploration and development purposes at the Corporation's 80%-owned Tabakoto and Segala gold projects in Mali. Mart Resources is in the business of exploration and development of oil and gas resources. The company released its third quarter financials reflecting an increase of 25% for the total crude oil sales to $25.6 million compared to $20.5 million in the same quarter last year. Third quarter cash flow from operating activities was $15.0 million. For the third quarter, crude oil production from the Umusadege Field increased by 115% to 4,097 oil barrels per day compared to 1,910 for the same period in 2008.

Staples Inc. (NASDAQ: SPLS), $24.49, +1.17, 5.02% as the world’s leading office supplies retailer and distributor is up over 1.17 reaching a high of 24.68. The company announced its third quarter financials reporting a sales decrease of 6% to 6.5 billion compared to third quarter 2008 sales of $7.0 billion. The generated record year to date free cash flow was $1.4 billion after $191 million in capital expenditures, compared to free cash flow of $921 million for the same period of 2008. The company ended the third quarter with more than $2.2 billion in liquidity, including $1.0 billion in cash and cash equivalents and $1.2 billion of available credit.

China Crescent Enterprises (OTCBB: CCTR), $0.027, +0.004, 15.22%, is making gains with heavy volume and a share price increase of over 15%. China Crescent sells information technology products and services and provides systems integration services in China. The company has released a shareholder update Webcast. The Webcast reviews the enhanced milestone ROI potential and the company’s improved long-term viability as well as a recap of the recently filed third quarter 2009 financial results.
