The biopharmaceutical company, which has been unprofitable as it is in the drug-development stage, said Monday that discovering a genetic biomarker is particularly helpful for diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, as they are significantly affected by lifestyle and health factors.


Revlon, Inc. (NYSE:REV) jumped up 37.20% or $4.01 to end the day at $14.79 on 3.50 million shares after its third-quarter earnings surprised BMO Capital analysts and they are now upgrading the stock to outperform from market perform as the cosmetics company is continuing to make headway in operations and its financials. Revlon announced Friday a tender offer for notes due in 2011 and followed up Monday by announcing its subsidiary is offering $330 million in notes due in 2015.
