’s already deep senior management team, which includes technical founders and industry veterans from noted data management companies Oracle, Gupta, SenSage, PointBase, IBM and Teradata. The ParAccel Analytic Database is the vision of ParAccel Founder and CTO Barry Zane, member of the founding technical team at Netezza.
Glick most recently served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Teradata’s Database Engineering group, where he was responsible for product direction and vision. In that position, Glick focused on data loading, manageability, extensibility, and performance initiatives. His Teradata career spans back to 1991 when he was one of Teradata’s first professional services employees hired to work on the noted Wal-Mart account in Bentonville, Arkansas. Glick also served as a senior consultant in Chicago, Illinois where he helped companies such as Sears, American Stores, CNA Insurance and Ameritech develop breakthrough data warehouse systems and practices based on highly-differentiated analytics. Glick also served as Director of Teradata’s Active Data Warehouse Center of Expertise and Partner Engineering.
Glick’s accomplishments at Teradata also included introducing the company’s technology to new geographies. In Santiago, Chile he helped design and implement Teradata’s first systems in South America. While based in Sydney, Australia, as Managing Partner for Professional Services in the financial industry, he helped implement world-class data warehousing initiatives throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
