SANTA MONICA, CA -- 07/02/09 --
Pacific Edison, the premier renewable
energy development and consulting firm serving sports and entertainment
venues, announced that Michael Stember has joined its team as Managing
Director. Michael brings extensive solar industry experience to Pacific
Edison.
In this role, Michael will be responsible for developing large-scale
renewable energy projects on behalf of key strategic clients both
domestically and internationally.
"Pacific Edison is well positioned to participate in the record growth of
America's clean energy economy. I am thrilled to be joining Pacific
Edison's strong team and helping the company execute its unique vision of
delivering renewable energy to sports and entertainment venues, municipal
agencies, industrial property owners, and schools," said Michael Stember.
Prior to joining Pacific Edison, Michael was a key contributor to three
solar companies. Most noteworthy, Michael was part of the sales team that
developed the largest sports and entertainment venue solar project in U.S.
history for AEG, which included a 512 kilowatt system on the rooftops of
the Staples Center and NOKIA Theatre LA LIVE. California Governor Arnold
Schwarzenegger lauded it as a flagship project for California's solar
industry.
Prior to building his career in renewable energy, Michael competed as a
world class athlete. While at Stanford University, Michael helped Stanford
win its first National Track and Field Championship in 66 years. He ran
the 1500 meters in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia and was one
of America's fastest milers for over a decade.
"We are excited to have Michael join the PacEd team. He brings great
