VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- 11/04/09 -- Oro Gold Resources Ltd. ("Oro Gold") (TSX VENTURE: OGR) reports that drilling continues with three diamond drill rigs, with approximately 5,000 metres completed to date in 2009. The focus of the ongoing drill program is to expand the high-grade HS Zone at Taunus with step-out holes, as well as make a new gold discovery in the Taunus-Bocas-Colinas project area.

The Company continues to experience challenging ground conditions that have slowed the drilling. A reverse circulation (RC) drill rig is planned to be used as a tool in completing pre-collar holes that may enable faster completion of diamond drill holes and allow for drilling deeper holes to target depth. Oro Gold has executed a 10,000-metre diamond and reverse circulation drill contract with BDW International Drilling of Mexico S.A. de C.V.

The current drill program will advance the Trinidad property with an emphasis on:

1. Expanding the new high-grade gold discovery area (HS Zone) at Taunus

2. Targeting potential new zones within 2 kilometres of Taunus

3. Making a new discovery in the Trinidad district outside of Taunus

The Company has recently completed step-out hole 09TR030 located approximately 300 metres north of the HS Zone towards the Bocas target area, and is now currently expanding the HS Zone to the west in hole 09TR031, and testing targets located 250 and 400 metres south of the HS Zone (holes 09TR032 and 033). Assays are pending for holes 27 to 30. See appended map for drill-hole locations.

"We are focused on advancing our property with continued drilling, and with plans to continue into 2010," commented Frank Powell, Oro Gold's Vice-President. "Besides increasing the size of the HS Zone with the current step-out holes, we also have many other targets nearby to test that if we are successful will have a significant impact in our next gold resource estimate."

Significant previously reported gold intervals in diamond drill holes defining the HS Zone are as follows:

About Taunus

The Taunus gold deposit is located on the Company's wholly-owned Trinidad property, and interpreted to be an oxidized, low-to-intermediate sulphidation, epithermal vein system. The gold mineralization is characterized by multiphase stockwork veining and hydrothermal brecciation hosted in both clastic, porphyry intrusive and andesitic units. The high-grade gold discovery made by the Company is called the HS Zone and is located approximately 100 metres below surface. This zone is tabular in nature, oxidized, and high-grade (greater than 5 grams per tonne gold). The current step-out drilling is defining the limits of the zone, as it is interpreted to be open to the west, north and south.

Taunus is interpreted to be hosted in a local pull-apart basin situated in the larger Trinidad district structural corridor that trends for more than 100 kilometres. Oro Gold has identified 10 other gold targets in the Trinidad district that are being advanced to a drill-stage.

About Oro Gold

Oro Gold is a gold exploration company with projects located in Mexico and Panama. In Mexico the Trinidad gold project continues to be the main focus of exploration and resource definition efforts. The Company plans to increase shareholder value through the discovery and definition of low-cost, high-grade gold resources on its advanced stage properties.
