Major U.S. camera and consumer electronics retailer posts 25 buying guides for digital cameras, consumer electronics and home office supplies to help consumers make smart buying decisions. Adorama urges all consumers to understand the products they plan to buy before hitting the “Add to Shopping Cart” button.

(PRWEB) November 29, 2009 -- Adorama today announced its “Learn Before You Buy” Cyber-Monday campaign to help consumers make intelligent buying decisions. As part of its ongoing efforts to provide helpful educational information for its current and future customers, the Adorama Learning Center has published 25 buying guides that provide basic information about a wide variety of popular products for personal and business use, from digital cameras to MP3 players, telescopes, and netbooks. A complete listing of all guides can be found in the Learning Center’s just-expanded Buying Guides section.

The Buying Guides provide information about features to look for in each category, buying tips, and guides to the top models. Buying guide categories include:

“With so much rushing around this time of year, time is precious and we want to help streamline the consumer’s decision-making process,” says Adorama Learning Center editor Mason Resnick. “That’s why we’ve posted all of these guides: to help consumers make smart buying decisions without spending hours or days that they don’t really have doing research. We’ve done the research for them. Of course, we hope they’ll reward us for our efforts by placing their orders with us!”

The Buying Guides are part of the Learning Center, which is hosted by Adorama.com, one of the largest suppliers of photography and consumer electronics equipment in the U.S. The wide scope of the Buying Guides reflects Learning Center’s expanding coverage to include consumer electronics and small-office products in addition to its extensive, expert editorial coverage of all things photographic.

An online photo and consumer electronics magazine at a retail web site?

The Adorama Learning Center is the choice destination for photographers and consumer electronics fans at all levels of experience who want to improve their picture-taking and image-editing skills. The Learning Center has posted hundreds of how-to articles, buying guides and picture-selling advice, as well as daily breaking news about the photography industry, written by a team of top experts.

Why would Adorama, a well-respected New York-based camera retailer, publish what is essentially an online magazine? For the same reason it has also partnered with the Perfect Picture School of Photography (http://www.ppsop.net) to offer online photography courses, and why it offers dozens of live workshops for photographers on location in its store in New York’s Photo District that have been attended by hundreds of enthusiastic students: "We believe the more information and knowledge we can provide, the more people will trust Adorama both as a reliable and trusted information source and as a place where they can feel comfortable buying their photographic and other gear," says Resnick.
