MIAMI, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympus Managed Health Care Inc., a leading provider of health care claims administration and cost containment services, announced today that it has been named the winner of the prestigious International Travel Insurance Journal (ITIJ) Cost Containment Company and Provider of the Year Award. The award was presented to Olympus Managed Health Care last week at the International Travel Insurance Conference in Athens.
"We are thrilled to be recognized, among such strong competition, as the ITIJ Cost Containment Company of the Year," said Steven W. Jacobson, President and CEO of Olympus Managed Health Care.
Olympus Managed Health Care was among three finalists nominated by the more than 20,000 ITIJ readers. Each of the nominated companies for the Cost Containment and Provider of the Year category was asked to submit a brief description of their accomplishments over the past year, what they have done to grow their business and how they plan to build upon their success. A panel of independent judges determined the winners in each of six major categories: Cost Containment Company and Provider of the Year; Air Ambulance Provider of the Year; Assistance/Claims Handler of the Year; Insurer/Underwriter of the Year; Intermediary of the Year, and ITIJ Marketing Campaign of the year.
