Couture is currently riding a two-fight losing streak after losing his UFC Heavyweight Title to Brock Lesnar in November of 2008 and then losing a Unanimous Decision in a valiant effort against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira last August in the main event of UFC 102 while Vera is on a two-fight winning streak with one-sided victories over Mike Patt and Krzysztof Soszynski respectively. 

Also on the night’s main card, England’s own trash-talking welterweight, Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy will look to be the first U.K. fighter to earn a shot at UFC gold when he takes on TUF 1 competitor and highly ranked American welterweight contender Mike Swick in the evening’s co-main event. 

Making his return on his home stage after suffering a devastating knockout at the hands of Dan Henderson this July, the U.K.’s Michael Bisping looks to silence his critics with a resounding victory over journeymen middleweight Denis Kang in the third featured bout of the evening. A win by either fighter would keep future title hopes alive in a growing UFC 185 pound Middleweight division.
