New executive role will drive partner strategy and channel transformation worldwide WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 12
WALTHAM, Mass., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Novell, Inc.
(Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced the appointment of Javier Colado to the new
position of general manager, Partners effective immediately. Mr. Colado will
be responsible for leading and managing channel and partner strategy
worldwide, with a focus on accelerating Novell's channel transformation. He
will report directly to Ron Hovsepian, Novell president and CEO, and be based
in the company's Waltham, Mass. headquarters.

Since 2006 Colado has served as Novell area general manager and vice
president for western Europe, Middle East, and Africa where he was responsible
for all operations, sales and marketing. Prior to Novell, Colado held senior
executive positions with McAfee and Lucent Technologies, where he helped
spearhead business partner and channel strategy and sales.
