TOKYO - (Business Wire) Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) has completed renovation of its private airport lounge WorldClubs on the fourth floor of Satellite 2 at Tokyos Narita International Airport, and it will reopen for service on April 22, 2008. This renovated WorldClubs will offer cutting-edge technology, design, equipment and services, and with a total floor space of 1,544 square meters will be the worlds second largest WorldClubs after Detroit. The reopening of the lounge will offer customers a more convenient and comfortable space for their use before boarding.

  • Enlarged space per seat: the space available per seat has been increased by 35% to 1.21 square meters, offering customers enhanced comfort.
  • 32 iMacs® supporting 12 languages: the business center has been modified from individual rooms to a more accessible and stylish layout with terminals placed along the length of the windows.
  • Six multimedia screens: with original screen display co-developed with Hitachi Ltd., passengers are able to easily check flight information and news from Northwest while they enjoy TV programming.
  • Upgraded food service: more variety than ever before with a wide choice of meals ranging from hot offerings to fresh food such as sushi and fresh spring rolls, all prepared under the supervision of our own executive chef.
  • Family room: our glass-walled playroom offers children a place to occupy themselves and parents peace of mind that their children are clearly visible.
  • Shower rooms: five free shower rooms are available for customers.
  • VIP room: this private space available by advance reservation only is perfect for those important meetings.

The WorldClubs lounge welcomes Northwests WorldClubs members, World Business Class passengers, Gold Elite and Platinum Elite members of Northwests mileage program service WorldPerks, business-class passengers flying on SkyTeam partner airlines and Elite members of their mileage programs.
