Real Estate Developer L. Robert Lieb and Columbia Bank to Receive Special Chamber Honors
FAIR LAWN, N.J., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce (NJRCC) has announced that L. Robert Lieb, a local real estate developer, and Columbia Bank, New Jersey's largest independent mutual bank, have been selected as their 2008 STAR Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at the Chamber's Annual STAR Award Gala on December 4, 2008 at the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson.
"Our STAR Awards recognize community business leaders and organizations who promote business development, community revitalization and commerce throughout Northern New Jersey," said NJRCC President Gloria Martini. "Bob Lieb and Columbia Bank are certainly two such local champions." The awards will be presented by last year's STAR award recipients, Frank Carlet, Esq., a founding partner in the Clifton law firm of Carlet, Garrison, Klein and Zaretsky, L.L.P., and Deborah Hoffman, Director of Economic Development for the County of Passaic.
Mr. Lieb, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clifton-based Mountain Development Corporation, supervises the development, construction, rehabilitation and management of office, retail and industrial real estate projects throughout the New York Metropolitan area and the Northeast. Today, his company's portfolio of office, industrial and enclosed mall retail projects exceed 6 million square feet. A well-known figure in local business, charity and community affairs, Mr. Lieb volunteers his time to many organizations, including the Passaic County 200 Club, the Public Health Research Institute and the Livingston Education Foundation.
