FAIR LAWN, N.J., Nov. 13 NJ-NJRCC-STAR-Awards
Real Estate Developer L. Robert Lieb and Columbia Bank to Receive Special Chamber Honors

FAIR LAWN, N.J., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- The North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce (NJRCC) has announced that L. Robert Lieb, a local real estate developer, and Columbia Bank, New Jersey's largest independent mutual bank, have been selected as their 2008 STAR Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at the Chamber's Annual STAR Award Gala on December 4, 2008 at the Westmount Country Club in West Paterson.

"Our STAR Awards recognize community business leaders and organizations who promote business development, community revitalization and commerce throughout Northern New Jersey," said NJRCC President Gloria Martini. "Bob Lieb and Columbia Bank are certainly two such local champions." The awards will be presented by last year's STAR award recipients, Frank Carlet, Esq., a founding partner in the Clifton law firm of Carlet, Garrison, Klein and Zaretsky, L.L.P., and Deborah Hoffman, Director of Economic Development for the County of Passaic.

Mr. Lieb, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Clifton-based Mountain Development Corporation, supervises the development, construction, rehabilitation and management of office, retail and industrial real estate projects throughout the New York Metropolitan area and the Northeast. Today, his company's portfolio of office, industrial and enclosed mall retail projects exceed 6 million square feet. A well-known figure in local business, charity and community affairs, Mr. Lieb volunteers his time to many organizations, including the Passaic County 200 Club, the Public Health Research Institute and the Livingston Education Foundation.

For more than 80 years, Columbia Bank has fulfilled the diverse banking needs of the residents and businesses of New Jersey. With 43 branches and over $4.4 billion in managed assets, the Fair Lawn-based bank today services a growing client base that includes business owners, professionals, corporations, developers, entrepreneurs, local municipal government entities and over 100,000 consumer households. Columbia's local support and participation has set a benchmark standard for community banking.

Known as "The Leading Voice for Business in North Jersey," the Clifton-based Chamber represents more than 500 member businesses and organizations. NJRCC services include seminars, workshops, networking events and statewide legislative educational efforts. Through its foundation, the Chamber also provides scholarship support to local college students. Founded in 1897, the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce is one of the oldest Chambers in the state.
