SEATTLE, Nov. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Leading fashion specialty
retailer Nordstrom opened the doors to its new Florida store today at
Waterside Shops in Naples. The 77,000 square-foot store is the first Nordstrom
to serve Southwest Florida and will offer a well-edited selection of designer,
luxury and quality fashion brands for women and men.
"We are thrilled to be here at Waterside Shops and excited to serve our
customers in the Gulfshore area," said Julie Prinicpato, Waterside Shops store
manager. "We know we have a lot of customers in Southwest Florida and we hope
they will love the selection of fashion we have to offer."
The new two-level Nordstrom store features a compelling selection of
clothing, accessories, cosmetics and shoes, including a designer offering of
American and European collections. Customers can shop from well-known
designers such as Armani, Dries Van Noten, Herve Leger, Jason Wu, L'Wren
Scott, Marni and Stella McCartney. To complement this offering, the store also
offers Jimmy Choo and Marc Jacobs shops in its Designer Handbags, as well as
footwear from Burberry, Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Miu Miu, Tods and Tory
Burch.
Nordstrom at Waterside Shops offers a number of services to enhance the
shopping experience. These amenities include in-store alterations and tailor
shop, bra and prosthesis fitters, complimentary gift boxes and Personal Touch
-- a complimentary wardrobe and shopping service. The store will also feature
two food offerings; a Cafe Bistro and Ebar espresso bar.
Opening day started at 8:00 a.m. with Nordstrom hosting a cosmetics Beauty
Bash. Shoppers learned about the newest cosmetics and fragrances for the
fall/winter season, and enjoyed complimentary skincare consultations and
makeup lessons from Nordstrom beauty advisors. When the store opened at 10:00
a.m., more than 200 excited employees lined the aisles and cheered
enthusiastically to welcome customers through the doors.
On Wednesday night, Nordstrom hosted a sold-out gala that raised more than
$139,000 for its partnering charities: the Community Foundation of Collier
County, Conservancy of Southwest Florida and The League Club.
Nordstrom opened its first store in Florida at International Plaza in
Tampa in 2001. The new Nordstrom at Waterside Shops is the retailer's ninth
Florida store.
