WESTLAKE, Ohio - (Business Wire) Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) today announced an expansion of duties for two of its executive officers, Senior Vice President John J. Keane and Vice President Peter G. Lambert. The changes follow the previously announced retirement of Vice President Michael Groos, who will leave his position leading the company’s European Adhesive Dispensing Systems organization and officially end his 30 year career with Nordson on November 30, 2009.

Effective December 1, 2009, Senior Vice President John Keane, 48, will add to his current global responsibilities leading the Advanced Technology Systems segment. Specifically, Keane will add responsibility for the company’s Nordson DAGE and Nordson EFD product lines to his current responsibility for the Nordson ASYMTEK, Nordson YESTECH and Nordson MARCH product lines. Prior to his current role, Keane held leadership positions in Nordson’s two other global business segments, as Senior Vice President of the Adhesive Dispensing Systems segment and Vice President of the Industrial Coating and Automotive Systems segment. A seventeen year employee of Nordson, Keane was named an officer of the company in 2003. He holds a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from MIT and attended the advanced management program at Harvard University.

Also effective December 1, 2009, Vice President Peter Lambert, 49, has been elected Senior Vice President with global responsibility for the Adhesive Dispensing Systems segment. Lambert is currently Vice President with responsibility for the Nordson EFD and Nordson DAGE product lines within the Advanced Technology Systems segment, duties which will become the responsibility of Keane. Lambert’s previous leadership positions within Nordson include President of Nordson EFD, division Vice President of Packaging and Product Assembly, Director of Corporate Information Services and Development, and Managing Director of Nordson Australia. A sixteen year employee of Nordson, Lambert was named an officer of the company in 2005. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in engineering from Dartmouth College, a master of science degree in aeronautical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

“I am pleased to provide these two strong leaders with additional responsibility for generating profitable growth,” said Nordson Chairman, President and CEO Edward Campbell. “Their proven track records of success in a variety of Nordson global businesses bode well for our customers, investors and employees.”
