SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - (Business Wire) GoDaddy.com is vying for the checkered flag Saturday when Canadian fan favorite Ron Fellows races the
No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet during the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
In addition to Fellows taking the wheel of the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet, GoDaddy.com is the official broadcast sponsor of the NASCAR NAPA Auto Parts 200 on TSN, Canada’s leading all-sports network, on Saturday. Fellows, a veteran, has three road course wins.
"Ron Fellows is the master when it comes to road courses," said GoDaddy.com CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. "He's pumped and ready to roll in the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet!"
The upcoming road course competition will be Fellows’ debut in the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet. NASCAR’s most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr., designed the distinctive black, green and orange No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet. In addition to designing the car, Earnhardt drives the Nationwide Series Chevrolets sponsored by GoDaddy.com, along with Mark Martin.
"It's going to be fun to drive the No. 5 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet," said Ron Fellows. "It may sound cliché – but it's an honor too. Being Canadian and now having the world’s largest registrar offer the .CA domain is tremendous. In fact, I just registered RonFellows.ca with Go Daddy!”
GoDaddy.com entered NASCAR in December, after signing a deal with JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports. JR Motorsports and Hendrick Motorsports officially combined operations for the NASCAR Nationwide Series after the 2007 racing schedule. The agreement made Go Daddy the primary sponsor for the No. 5 NASCAR Nationwide Series Chevrolets for six races in 2008.
GoDaddy.com is the world’s largest domain name registrar and is a leading Web host provider. Go Daddy recently made Internet history and hit a historic milestone, registering an industry record 30 million domain names.
The GoDaddy.com broadcast of the NAPA Auto Parts 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series begins Saturday at 3 p.m. EDT on TSN, Canada’s Sports Leader.
