ARCADIA, Calif., Oct. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- The AABB announced that Lawrence D. Petz, MD, chief medical officer at StemCyte, Inc., received the Tibor Greenwalt Memorial Award and Lectureship for 2006. According to the AABB, "This award recognizes an individual who made major scientific or clinical contributions to hematology and transfusion medicine and succinctly communicated these advances." Dr. Petz received the award at the AABB annual meeting in Miami, FL, which ends today.
