PARMA, Ohio, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Howard Hall, Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) and clinician in the Division of Behavioral Pediatrics at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, will present Emerging Neuroscience Findings for Sufi Rapid Wound Healing at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus. The free presentation is scheduled for Thursday, March 29, Noon -- 1 p.m., in the Western Campus Theatre (11000 Pleasant Valley Road, Parma).
Sufism is an Islamic mystic tradition. Rapid wound healing is the unusually quick healing of bodily wounds.
Dr. Hall holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Princeton University and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. He has conducted research and taught courses in clinical and multicultural psychology as well as workshops on hypnosis, and he maintains a clinical practice utilizing hypnosis and mind-body/holistic approaches to healing at CWRU.
Dr. Hall has also conducted pioneering work regarding the mind-body connection including the effects of hypnosis on immune responses, and is recognized as a leader in the field of Clinical Psychoneuroimmunology. He has served on local, national and international boards including the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, The Monterey Institute for the Study of Alternative Healing Arts and the Cuyahoga County Community Mental Health Board.
