WASHINGTON, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Terri and Bindi Irwin, wife and daughter of the late Steve Irwin, will speak at a National Press Club luncheon on Friday, January 19th. Terri will share an intimate insight into her life with Steve Irwin and give her personal story of what it was like living beside the Australian known fondly around the world as "The Crocodile Hunter." Terri will outline Steve Irwin's legacy, major lifetime achievements in wildlife and nature conservation and highlight his most passionate dreams and aspirations. Irwin's eight-year-old daughter Bindi will also give a heartfelt plea on behalf of her father.
The American-born Terri Irwin co-hosted her husband's popular television program "The Crocodile Hunter" until his untimely death on September 4, 2006, from a stingray barb. Since their loss, Terri, daughter Bindi, and son Bob, continue to carry Steve's message of conservation to the world and to promote Australia. The Irwins make their brief, exclusive stop in Washington, D.C. as part of a U.S. tour to promote Australia.
