MIAMI and PUNTA CANA, Dominican Republic, Dec. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Barcelo Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic is welcoming guests for the winter holiday season with enhanced services, new amenities and refurbished facilities. The all-inclusive resort which recently became part of Barcelo Hotels & Resorts Premium collection has refreshed all guest rooms with new paint and additional amenities. In addition, all exteriors and public spaces have been refreshed in time for the busy winter season. Additional improvements to the 795 guest room resort complex include:
- Redesigning two of the resort's seven restaurants. The two new a la carte restaurants are Roma, an Italian style gourmet restaurant, and Tokio, a Japanese Teppanyaki style restaurant. In addition it is easier for guests to enjoy their fine dining experience as the Resort now offers guaranteed reservations at these premium restaurants based on the guest's length of stay. In addition, the hotel is continuing the tradition of a complimentary lobster included in each evening meal at the popular El Marlin Grill restaurant. - All of the buffet dining rooms have been upgraded to meet Barcelo's standards of excellence. Guests will enjoy tablecloth dining at all meals with attentive service staff. The menus and presentation have been expanded with a larger variety of quality and gourmet foods prepared by Barcelo's chefs to meet today's sophisticated palettes. - For relaxation there is a new sports bar, Take Five, that provides adults with a non-smoking environment. In addition, all public spaces -- including the pool and recreation areas -- have been refurbished.
As part of the Barcelo tradition there are special holiday activities throughout the Christmas/New Year season. Throughout 2007 the Resort will continue to add new activities and packages, such as an all-inclusive Honeymoon and Wedding Package.

The Barcelo Punta Cana Resort is a Premium Level Barcelo all-inclusive resort. The resort is located on an expansive 400 meter stretch of Arena Gorda Beach at Bavaro Beach in Punta Cana.
