COLUMBIA, Md., Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- LPP Combustion, LLC is pleased to announce that it has signed a Letter of Intent to form a Strategic Alliance with Dynoil LLC for the sale and use of clean bio-fuel technology. Under the Alliance Agreement, LPP Combustion will supply to Dynoil the revolutionary patented LPP System. The LPP technology will enable Bio-diesel, produced by Dynoil, to be used in low emissions gas turbine power plants, while achieving the same low exhaust emissions as natural gas. Since bio-diesel is a renewable fuel source, such power plants will be environmentally friendly and produce no net greenhouse gases.
On August 15, 2006, LPP Combustion received its primary U.S. Patent for technology that converts bio-diesel and other liquid fuels into a synthetic natural gas, called LPP gas, which can be burned in natural gas combustion systems with no modifications to the combustion hardware. An identical EU Patent was awarded on October 11, 2006.
A. Vernon Wright, Chief Executive Officer of Dynoil, previously announced the construction of a 100,000 barrel per day bio-diesel plant in Houston, TX. Dynoil is a leading bio-fuel supplier due to its unique technology and long experience in producing and trading a wide range of fuels. Dynoil has plans to build similar bio-diesel plants at utilities throughout the US. Dynoil's unique approach to the bio-diesel market focuses on production of fuels for power generation and transportation.
Under the Alliance, LPP Combustion and Dynoil will work together to site Dynoil's bio-diesel plants close to power generating facilities utilizing gas turbines. In doing so, fuel transportation costs are minimized, and the utility will have a ready source of alternative, renewable fuel. Dynoil and LPP Combustion are currently engaged in discussions with several major utilities in Hawaii, Florida, and the Southwest.
"This Letter of Intent leading to a formal Alliance Agreement with Dynoil is a significant milestone in the commercialization and credibility of our technology," said John Sams, COO of LPP Combustion. "LPP intends to continue its focus on greenhouse friendly liquid fuels in addition to conventional liquid fuels."
Dynoil's CEO, A. Vernon Wright, confirms, "Dynoil is dedicated to a cleaner environment by producing fuels that limit greenhouse gas emissions. Dynoil is very excited that it can expand the potential use of bio-diesel consumption to power generation opportunities through LPP's technology by providing utilities with clean fuel selection alternatives."
