NEW YORK, Nov. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Skins Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SKNN), a developer of revolutionary footwear, announced today that its patent application for their innovative two-part, interchangeable footwear structure consisting of outer collapsible "Skins" and an inner holistic, orthopedic support section called the "Bone," has been allowed and approved by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This allowance goes into effect immediately with the patent pending status officially removed in the coming three to four months, enabling Skins Inc. to take any and all legal action against an infringing party or company.
Mark Klein, President and CEO of Skins Inc., said, "The allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark office marks a major milestone for Skins Inc. This legitimizes and protects our revolutionary footwear and allows us to move forward with our long-term, intellectual property strategy. We intend on continuing to strengthen our position within the footwear industry. Our patents and cutting-edge product design will be a cornerstone for future business as we look to license our technology and enter new markets."
In addition to receiving this allowance for the Skins and Bones technology in the United States, Skins Inc. also owns the patent and trademark applications internationally for every country and territory the Company intends on doing business in or with.
Skins footwear is slated for a full-scale launch into U.S. retailers for Spring-Summer 2007.
