WAYNE, N.J., Dec. 12  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Valley National Bancorp , and its subsidiary Valley National Bank, have appointed Marc J. Lenner and Suresh L. Sani to its Board of Directors.
Mr. Lenner, age 42, is CEO and CFO of Lester M. Entin Associates, managing and operating more than three million square feet of real estate throughout the United States. Prior to joining Lester M. Entin Associates, he was employed with Hoberman Miller Lesser & Goldstein certified public accountants.
Mr. Lenner received his BA in both Business Administration and Accounting from Muhlenberg College. In addition to his professional career, Lenner was awarded the prestigious Young Leadership Award by the Jewish Federation of Greater Clifton Passaic. He has served as Vice President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Clifton Passaic and as a UJA Chairman. Lenner is a member of American Friends of Tel Aviv University, Chairman of The Friends of the YM-YWHA, raising funds for children's scholarships, which he founded in 1997 and is President and CFO of The Lester M. & Sally Entin Charitable Foundation. He resides in Short Hills, New Jersey with his wife and four children.
Mr. Sani, age 43, serves as Vice President of First Pioneer Properties, Inc., a family-owned management company that manages approximately three million square feet of commercial buildings and over 2,500 acres of land all of which are owned by family related entities. The commercial buildings include office buildings, industrial properties and retail properties located in New York, New Jersey, and six other states. He is responsible for the acquisition, financing, developing, leasing and managing of the real estate assets. Prior to joining First Pioneer Properties, Inc. he was an associate in the Real Estate Department at Shea & Gould in New York City and he is currently a member of the New York Bar.
Mr. Sani is a graduate of Harvard College and New York University of Law. In addition to his professional career, he currently serves as a Trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission; the Dean's Strategic Council at New York University School of Law; a member of the Compact Committee, an elected committee that oversees the curriculum at the Port Washington Public Schools; an Arthritis Advocate and a member of the Board of Governors for the New York Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Port Washington Education Foundation. He resides in Port Washington, Long Island with his wife and three children.
