Quickly she realized that she was hitting a brick wall with these children as the damage was too deep and it became clear that their parents and their upbringing were the real issues. The demands and challenges that many parents face were only made that much clearer when Tammy herself had a baby and found herself overwhelmed with the responsibility and stress that often goes hand in hand with having a child.
It was then she realized that if she, as an educated woman specifically trained to help parents and children, was overwhelmed - many others must be as well. Parenting is often considered the toughest job you will ever have and yet Tammy realized there is almost no resource to help you prepare for it emotionally as well as physically. In addition, despite the fact that this is a problem that many face, few publicly acknowledge their difficulty and the pressure to create perfect children often leaves parents feeling alone. Because of this, in 2007, Tammy founded Gold Parent Coaching to help mothers and fathers cope and solve their unique issues.
Gold Parent Coaching offers a variety of specialized courses for parents including pregnancy care, practical advice for toddlers and communication tips for teens, as well as personalized individual sessions.
