The company will debut its largest booth to date at the meeting, featuring demonstrations of its SecondLook products with the newly released CAD version 7.2. Released in September, iCAD's SecondLook with CAD 7.2 has already experienced tremendous demand from customers as well as leading digital mammography manufacturers. In addition, iCAD will be providing attendees a first view of its advanced CAD applications in-development for mammography and CT colonography.
"This year's RSNA meeting provides iCAD an excellent opportunity to showcase our latest digital mammography solutions and strategic partnerships, as well as new applications of our computer aided detection technology that will increase the reach of CAD to additional markets. With our latest applications focused on enhancing mammography and CT colonography, iCAD's solutions are well-positioned to meet the needs of broader patient populations," said Ken Ferry, Chief Executive Officer of iCAD, Inc. "We look forward to introducing the new face of iCAD to radiologists in this important forum."
iCAD offers high-performance CAD solutions for both film-based and digital mammography systems. iCAD's latest software, CAD v7.2, is an algorithm that automatically identifies and marks areas typically associated with cancer. The CAD software marks the primary indications of breast cancer in a consistent, logical manner that is closely aligned with standard mammography training. The result is earlier detection of hard-to-find cancers, improved workflow for radiologists, and higher quality patient care.
iCAD has established relationships with digital mammography market leaders -- including GE Healthcare, FujiFilm Medical Systems, Siemens Medical Solutions and others -- to offer iCAD products through their worldwide sales channels. Compatibility with these and other digital mammography systems will be demonstrated at the iCAD booth.
As a leader in the industry, iCAD continues to advance CAD functionality in mammography. iCAD is developing solutions that extend current CAD functionality by providing additional clinically relevant information about potential cancers to further enhance the clinical decision making process.
iCAD also continues to improve network connectivity, allowing easy image exchange between clinical systems. To enhance clinical workflow and improve efficiencies, iCAD has developed the most powerful and flexible DICOM connectivity solutions that seamlessly integrate with leading acquisition systems, PACS and mammography review workstations.
Additionally, iCAD is working to develop CAD solutions that would improve CT imaging for the identification of colonic polyps through virtual colonoscopy, with software solutions that automatically identify colon polyps. By focusing on superior identification capabilities, iCAD's systems for virtual colonoscopy are designed to assist in improving the accuracy, consistency and workflow during the reading process.
