WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Censeo Consulting Group, a leader in supply chain management and operations, announced today that it has received an honorable mention by Washingtonian magazine as one of Washington, D.C.'s "Great Place to Work" in 2007. The publication's list of best places to work appears in the November issue.
"I am excited that Censeo Consulting Group has been selected among the Washington area's best places to work," said Raj Sharma, president and CEO of Censeo Consulting Group. "This recognition is a reflection of our vision to deliver exceptional value to both our clients and employees. Censeo is redefining what it means to be a consultant by providing work-life balance and allowing flexibility for individual career paths, while also offering challenging and intellectual work and paying competitive salaries and benefits."
The magazine cited the company in the "Small is Good" section, which focuses on several young and emerging management consulting firms that are going outside of the traditional consulting model to define "a better way to work."
The article cited Censeo's efforts to maintain a reasonable 50-hour work week for its consultants, a relatively light work schedule compared to other management consulting firms. The article concluded with a quote from Mr. Sharma that said, "It's our duty as companies to take care of our people."
The "Great Places to Work" list is based on responses to a questionnaire that was sent to hundreds of area companies, nonprofit organizations and government agencies in the Washington metropolitan area. Among the factors considered by the magazine's editors were employee satisfaction, turnover data, flexible schedules, good pay and benefits, employee development, interesting work, employee recognition, supportive managers, open communication, and collegial staffs.
