Smart News Makes it Easy for Parents to Find the 'Good Stuff' on TV for Kids

WASHINGTON, Nov. 1  /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Smart News, the online publication of the Smart Television Alliance, is now available online to all who are concerned about the quality of children's television programming and to helping parent's utilize technology to control what kids see on TV.

The new twice-monthly parental resource is produced under the leadership of the National Education Association, the nation's largest professional organization with 3.2 million members; National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the nation's largest volunteer child advocacy association with 5.5 million members; and the National Council of Women's Organizations (NCWO), a coalition of more than 200 organizations representing over ten million women.

Last month, the Smart Television Alliance launched in response to growing concerns about the level of violent and indecent programming all too easily accessible by children.
