Silicon Image Announces Americas Distribution Agreement With Symmetry Electronics

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 18  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Silicon Image, Inc. , a leader in semiconductors for the secure storage, distribution and presentation of high-definition content, today announced an Americas distribution agreement with Symmetry Electronics, a leading design-oriented distributor serving the Audio/Video, Wireless and Embedded markets. The new relationship provides Silicon Image with access to Symmetry's established Americas distribution channel to distribute VastLane, High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI), Digital Video Interface (DVI) processors, PinnaClear integrated HDTV input processors and SteelVine storage processors. Symmetry Electronics will distribute the products through its award-winning eCommerce site, SemiconductorStore.com.
