Honda Breaks Ground for Mid-Atlantic Financial Services Facility

NEWARK, Del., Oct. 10  /PRNewswire/ -- Honda Financial Services (HFS) today marked the groundbreaking for its new 26,000-square-foot Mid-Atlantic regional offices that will support Honda's growing family of customers in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. HFS will lease the space and serve as the anchor tenant at The Commons at Little Falls, a new office park to be constructed in Newark, Del.

HFS is pursuing the development of a sustainable interior design that will seek to reduce energy use and conserve natural resources. The company will seek to certify the facility's interior to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy Efficient Design (LEED) standards.
Newark is already home to HFS's current regional offices. The office's 130 associates will relocate to the new facility once it is completed in the fall of 2008. HFS's Mid-Atlantic office currently serves more than 350,000 Honda and Acura automobile customers with new-vehicle financing and lease programs, as well as many Honda and Acura automobile dealers in the region with financing of new-vehicle inventories.
American Honda Finance Corporation (dba Honda Financial Services), a wholly owned subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., helps to satisfy the financing needs of consumers of Honda and Acura vehicles, Honda and Acura accessories, as well as Honda motorcycles, power equipment, and marine products. HFS offers financing in the form of both retail installment sales contracts and leases, depending on the product and the needs of the particular customer. HFS also provides consumer protection products such as vehicle service contracts and guaranteed asset protection (GAP).
