SAN DIEGO, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego chapter of the AeA, the nation's largest high-tech industry association, today announced that nominations are open for the 14th Annual AeA High Tech Awards. Taking place on October 19th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at the Hilton Torrey Pines in La Jolla, the awards ceremony will recognize local technology companies for their achievements in technological innovation, civic contributions and industry accomplishments.
Nominations for the 2007 AeA San Diego High Tech Awards are currently being accepted and must be received by August 30, 2007. The awards program is open to AeA members, in addition to non-members, and companies may be nominated in more than one category. Additionally, nominees do not have to work for the company they submit for consideration.
The 2007 event marks the 14th anniversary of the San Diego High Tech Awards. More than 500 technology executives, including AeA members and non- members, will come together to acknowledge the successes of local technology companies from a diverse set of categories ranging from software, semiconductors, medical device and outstanding emerging growth.
As more San Diego companies make strides toward greener technologies, the AeA has added a new category to reflect these efforts. The Clean Technology category will honor technologies, services or solutions that enable more efficient use of natural resources and/or greatly reduce environmental impact.
