MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- 08/15/07 --
JAJAH, the world's most innovative
communication company, today announced its popular web-based calling
service has been upgraded for use in Canada.
In response to customer demand, JAJAH today announced that making free and
ultra-low cost JAJAH calls from Canada is even easier than before by adding
support for Canadian currency to its popular web-based calling solution. On
the JAJAH rates webpage (www.jajah.com/info/rates/), users select the
Canadian dollar (CAD) under the currency drop down menu along with the
country you are calling from and the one you want to call to view
corresponding call rates, as low as 4 cents a minute.
"Canadians have been finding JAJAH on their own and have been asking us for
this upgrade. We hope this brings even more Canadian users to our system
and enjoy low cost calls," said Roman Scharf, JAJAH co-founder. "With the
JAJAH web-activated calling solution, there is no download, no installation
and no long-term contract required to make free and ultra-low cost
long-distance and international calls. JAJAH is the first service of its
kind designed for all phone users who appreciate saving money."
"Canada is a prime market for JAJAH, especially in large cities like
Toronto and Vancouver, where overseas calling is quite regular," said Jon
Arnold, Principal of J Arnold & Associates, an independent VoIP consultancy
in Toronto. "The savings will be very attractive to mobile users, and with
support now for payment in Canadian currency, I expect to see a lot of
interest in JAJAH here."
To make a JAJAH call, consumers simply visit www.jajah.com, enter their
regular phone number, then the phone number they want to call, and press
the "CALL" button. JAJAH does the rest and rings both parties on their
actual phones (landline or mobile). The call isn't any different from other
normal phone conversations, only significantly cheaper.
"If you can Google, you can JAJAH," says Scharf. "We have made it easy and
affordable for consumers to call across Canada, and there is no need to
switch your current phone or service."
Current long-distance rates are staggering for Canadians. Consumers pay as
much as 10 cents per minute to call across Canada and/or the U.S. with
mobile bundles and 30 cents per minute for additional minutes.
For the first time Canadian consumers have a calling option that makes
dollars and sense. With JAJAH, calls to other registered users across
Canada or to the U.S. on a landline or mobile phone is FREE for up to 30
minutes each day for calls initiated from PCs. Calls from
www.mobile.jajah.com are up to 86 percent cheaper -- to top calling
destinations including U.S., China, Hong Kong, India and the UK. Landline
and mobile calling rates across Canada, U.S. and China are 4 cents, 5 cents
to Hong Kong and 9 cents to India.
Making an affordable long-distance call is also easier for Canadian
businesses. JAJAH allows users to schedule calls ahead of time, a
convenient feature for busy callers. JAJAH can also be accessed from a
smart phone by pointing your browser to www.mobile.jajah.com, eliminating
the need to enroll in costly international calling plans.
