-- SOA and Health Plans: Driving Business Value through Application Agility,
Rick Sweeney, Chief Architect, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Application agility is critical for health-care insurer Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts Inc. (BCBSMA) in creating and
maintaining the services that its hundreds of trading partners and 2.9
million members rely on. In this session, Rick Sweeney, Chief Architect,
will explain why BCBSMA is embracing service oriented architecture (SOA)
and related technologies for multi-partner interoperability.
-- Transformative Technologies: Minimizing Risks and Maximizing Results,
Jonathan Mack, Senior Technical Architect, Guardian Life Insurance.
From serving as a representative of the world's largest staffing company on
HR-XML's original Staffing Industry Data Exchange Standards (SIDES)
development team, to helping shape the enterprise architecture at
1800Flowers, to his current role guiding a major reengineering project at
Guardian Life Insurance, Jonathan Mack has gained a wealth of experience
with transformative architectures and methodologies, including service
oriented architecture (SOA) and business process management (BPM). In this
session, Jonathan will draw on his rich and diverse experiences to share
the best practices, tactics, and strategies you need to know.
-- Web Services and SOA: Impact Within the HCM Marketplace,
Karen Beaman, Jeitosa Group International; Kelvin Gray, Workday.
In this session, internationally renowned experts Karen Beaman, founder of
Jeitosa Group International, and Kelvin Gray of Workday will help you cut
through the hype with their perspectives about where web services and SOA
are making an impact and what challenges exist for the full realization of
benefits within the HCM marketplace.
-- SOA Success: Aligning Your Development Organization,
Jim Murphy, Vice President, Mindreef.
Much of the discussion about service oriented architecture (SOA) focuses on
tools, technologies, and architectural methodologies. Too often, adopters
fail to give sufficient attention to organizational dynamics required to
support a successful SOA initiative. In this session, Jim Murphy, Vice
President Product Management at Mindreef, a leading provider of SOA quality
and governance solutions, explains how most enterprises beginning a SOA
initiative soon realize that the biggest obstacles to success are
organizational, rather than technical.
-- Business Process Management (BPM): A Lynch Pin for Flexible Outsourcing and
Partnering,
David Shaffer, Sr. Director Product Management, Oracle Integration.
In this session, David Shaffer, Sr. Director Product Management, Oracle
Integration, will examine the business benefits of BPM
(including case study examples), the current state and future directions of
BPM solutions, and developments with underlying business process standards.
