WASHINGTON, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A resolution to create National Aviation Maintenance Technician Day (H. Res. 444) passed the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and will go to the House of Representatives for a vote this fall. The resolution will then be considered by the Senate before going to the President.
The resolution, which has the backing of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA), will create a national day to honor and recognize the achievements of the Wright brothers' first flight mechanic Charles E. Taylor, and all certificated aviation maintenance professionals.
PAMA applauds the work of Rep. Lungren (R-CA), Rep. Filner (D-CA), Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman James L. Oberstar, and all of the resolution's co-sponsors in helping to get this Resolution on the path to reality.
