RICHARDSON, Texas, Oct. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Stream, a global contact center outsourcer, announced late last week that it will open a 1,000-seat facility in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

As a contact center company, Stream manages customer relationships for its global client base, which includes some of the world's best-known technology companies. These clients provide a multitude of products and services including computers, software, consumer electronics, broadband Internet and online games.

With the company hiring immediately, the local workforce stands to gain more than 500 jobs over the next few months and up to 1000 jobs within one year.
Stream's new Sergeant Bluff facility expands the company's global reach to 26 sites in 14 countries. The company's 12,000 employees provide services to over 85 business clients. Stream has been ranked first in call center performance in Global Services' 2006 annual report, the Global Services 100 (GS100). The GS100 recognizes the 100 most innovative outsourcers of business and technology services, in addition to the top 10 companies in each of 10 service delivery areas.
