IRVINE, Calif., July 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Bitcentral Inc., a leading provider of video content management and distribution solutions to the broadcast market, announced today the purchase of Precis to stations owned by four additional broadcast groups.
WKBW, a Granite station in Buffalo, NY, went live with Precis in June. Hearst's WPTZ, Montecito's KHON, and Belo's KMOV plan to go live in August and September.
Bitcentral's Precis News Production System is a non-proprietary, turnkey play-to-air digital news management system. The all file-based workflow solution is browser based, with virtually no limits on the number of users that can access the system. The system delivers an integrated on-line archive with inexpensive commodity storage for SD or HD video content.
