PHOENIX, AZ -- 07/25/07 --
NetPro Computing, Inc., a leading provider of
distributed services management software, today announced the Seventh
Annual Directory Experts Conference (DEC) 2008, an important international
event focused on advancing the skills of the most experienced users of
Microsoft Identity and Access (IDA) technologies. Sponsored in part by
Microsoft, DEC 2008 will provide advanced education on Windows Server
2008's business-critical IDA technologies, including Active Directory,
Identity Lifecycle Manager (ILM), Active Directory Federation Services
(ADFS), and Rights Management Services (RMS).
DEC 2008 will be held March 2-5, 2008, at the Hilton Chicago in Chicago,
Ill. The conference's theme, Active Directory Evolves: The New Identity
Platform for Enterprise 2.0, will serve as the centerpiece for the
three-day conference, and NetPro has officially opened its "Call for
Papers" process, accepting proposals that complement the event's theme.
Individuals seeking consideration for presentation opportunities at the
event must submit by 5:00 p.m. PDT August 24, 2007. (Complete details are
available at http://www.dec2008.com.) Speakers selected through the DEC
2008 Call for Papers process will be announced on NetPro's DEC 2008 website
on September 7, 2007, the same date on which NetPro will unveil the
complete, five-track agenda for the conference and open online registration
for DEC 2008.
"The Microsoft Identity and Access technology platform continues to evolve
to meet the needs of the next generation enterprise. And we understand the
importance of morphing the conference to reflect both the technology
evolution and the changing requirements of Microsoft's leading enterprise
customers," said Gil Kirkpatrick, NetPro CTO and DEC founder. "Our return
delegates will find the cutting edge Active Directory education they have
come to expect, but they will also broaden the scope of their identity
expertise through powerful exposure to the expanded Microsoft Identity and
Access stack -- including CardSpace, RMS and ADFS."
"The Directory Experts Conference has proven over the years to be an
important event for the users of Microsoft directory and identity
technologies," said Tejas Dixit, Group Manager, Identity and Access
Solutions at Microsoft Corporation. "The conference provides a unique
opportunity for IT professionals to learn how Microsoft IDA solutions
enhance manageability while reducing the cost and complexity of identity
and access management across the enterprise."
DEC 2008 will feature a wide variety of sessions and roundtable discussions
offered within five technology tracks, providing highly technical 200, 300,
