RESTON, Va., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Intellitactics announces that it is continuing with its commitment to receive Common Criteria certification under the Communications Security Establishment (CSE) program. The evaluation of Intellitactics Security Manager will be carried out at Evaluation Assurance Level 3 (EAL 3) in accordance with the Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation by Electronic Warfare Associates-Canada, Limited, which operates an independent, third-party Common Criteria Test Lab. The certification will cover the Intellitactics Security Manager version 5 core release.
Intellitactics was first awarded Common Criteria certification in December 2004, making it the first software provider to earn this certification as a security information and event management solution. The certification of Intellitactics' software under the stringent requirements imposed by Common Criteria's international information security standards validates Intellitactics Security Manager as being ideally suited for both sensitive, mission-critical government and commercial computing environments.
"Intellitactics Security Manager is highly valued by the companies and government agencies that have selected it as the centerpiece of their security risk management architecture," states Bill Rucker, Director, Public Sector for Intellitactics. "As a recognized global standard, Common Criteria certification provides these organizations with proven third-party assurance that our solutions meet the most challenging demands of mission-critical security environments. This certification demonstrates our commitment to delivering security management solutions validated by rigorous testing under international technology standards, and gives our customers the confidence to select commercial, off-the-shelf technology products that they know meet stringent security requirements."
The Common Criteria certification is an internationally accepted standard for evaluating the security posture and protection capabilities of information technology products. Common Criteria certifications are accepted by all 21 countries participating in the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement (CCRA), including the United States government through the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) program.
