In early May, the 38-member squad traveled to Apple Vacations' Dreams Tulum Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico. As ambassadors for the Eagles organization and the City of Philadelphia, they were welcomed by enthusiastic international audiences and participated in exclusive resort activities. A reunion of the calendar's last five cover girls took place as they posed together on the Caribbean beaches. The photographic images were captured by Steve Vaccariello, named by Nikon as one of the top 50 photographers in the world.
The unveiling event, presented by official Eagles Cheerleaders sponsor 94 WYSP Free FM, will begin with a reception at 7 p.m., followed by a swimsuit fashion show and dance performance by the Eagles Cheerleaders. On-air talent Vinnie, of the Barsky Show, will be the emcee of the event.
The cover girls from the previous five calendars -- Christina Fuller, 2002; Brianne Salzano, 2003; Theresa Vitelli, 2004; and Adrienne Hartman, 2005; and current cheerleader Lora Sheeran, cover 2006 -- will join the rest of the squad and special guests for the evening's 2007-08 cover unveiling during the finale.
"The Mexican Riviera provided a spectacular venue, and fans can expect a beautiful product," said Barbara Zaun, director of the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders.
Eagles fans can watch the fashion show and cover announcement live on PhiladelphiaEagles.com, beginning at approximately 8 p.m.
The 16-month calendar is one of the most popular in all of sports. It can be found at Eagles Pro Shops and in participating retail outlets, a can also be ordered online at PhiladelphiaEagles.com.
The success of the calendar has contributed to distinguishing the Eagles Cheerleaders as one of the NFL's elite squads, being featured in such national magazines as Maxim, FHM and Muscle and Fitness.
International visits made by the Eagles Cheerleaders include Bosnia, Hong Kong, England and Mexico. The cheerleaders also participated in NFL events this February during Super Bowl weekend in Miami.
