CHICAGO, May 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Peter J. Mason, Ph.D., recently joined MWH as Technical Director, International Dam and Hydropower projects. In this role he will provide senior-level technical reviews, management for large programs and strategic oversight for MWH's dam and hydropower projects worldwide.

Dr. Mason has worked at all project stages from conceptual to detailed design for dams, hydropower stations, canals, tunnels and associated works. He has provided specialized technical and high-level project advice to contractors, owners, funding agencies and prospective purchasers. Other work has included integrated safety, risk and value engineering analyses, due diligence inspections and asset evaluations. Dr. Mason's other areas of expertise include applied hydraulics, structural analysis, concrete technology and surface and underground power stations. He has worked on a number of roller compacted concrete (RCC) and hardfill dams throughout the world, each with its own technical challenges.
Dr. Mason has more than 38 years of international experience and will be based in MWH's High Wycombe office in the United Kingdom.
