QUALCOMM and Lenovo Mobile Enter Into WCDMA Subscriber Unit License Agreement

SAN DIEGO, May 7  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- QUALCOMM Incorporated , a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, and Lenovo Mobile Communications Technology, Ltd., a subsidiary of Lenovo Group (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY), today announced that the companies have entered into a subscriber unit license agreement to cover WCDMA subscriber products.  Under the terms of the worldwide royalty-bearing agreement, QUALCOMM has granted Lenovo Mobile a patent license to develop, manufacture and sell WCDMA subscriber units for high-speed broadband wireless access.  The royalties payable by Lenovo Mobile are at QUALCOMM's standard worldwide rates.  Additionally, the two companies intend to cooperate in the development of certain subscriber unit products incorporating CDMA technology.
