CHANDLER, Ariz., June 3 AZ-Employee-Vita-HR
CHANDLER, Ariz., June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- When Brett Waslefsky's wife said
her job was making her sick, she meant it literally. As a school teacher, the
stresses of the job, as well as a germ-filled environment, were making it
difficult for her to stay healthy. With this casual conversation, a new kind
of vitamin was born.
In 2007, Waslefsky founded Employee Vita, a web-based vitamin company that
offers occupation specific nutritional supplements, the first of its kind.
"After talking to my wife, I realized that no supplement focused
specifically on occupations. Most people spend at least a third of their lives
at work. Depending on the job's demands, their health can certainly suffer.
Occupation specific vitamins can address these job-related health challenges,"
Waslefsky said.
To formulate his product, Waslefsky first conducted personal interviews
and surveys of teachers, truckers, nurses, and firefighters to determine their
most commonly occurring health issues. Then he consulted a nutrition expert
to identify the vitamins and minerals needed to address these concerns.
The result was a list of "proprietary blends" to describe a combination of
nutrients that address the specific health needs of each occupation. Each
occupation specific supplement contains several health targeted blends in
addition to at least 100 percent of the recommended daily allowance of
vitamins and minerals and increased B-vitamins.
"Before Employee Vita, people had to buy multiple bottles and take tons of
pills to get what they needed. That's confusing, expensive, and downright
inconvenient. My occupation specific vitamins allow people to get exactly what
they need in one supplement. It's cheaper, easier, and better addresses their
unique needs. It takes the guesswork out of staying healthy," Waslefsky said.
By partnering with a Chandler, Arizona-based vitamin manufacturer,
Waslefsky was able to assemble a team of experts to ensure his supplements
were effective and safe.
"Employee Vita's production adheres to the current Good Manufacturing
Practices of the National Safety Foundation. These regulations are stringent
and ensure identity, purity, strength, and composition of the product," he
said.
Currently, Employee Vita produces Teacher Vita and Trucker Vita,
supplements for people in these two challenging career fields. Nurse Vita
will be available in June 2008. Firefighter Vita is in the production phase.
Waslefsky is presently researching formulas for sales professionals and police
officers.
